Things were not always as settled and quiet as I expect it to be here this coming day.

May 26, 1637 The Pequot massacres began (ethnic cleansing)

During the Pequot war, an allied Puritan and Mohegan force under English (future Americans) Captain John Mason attacks a Pequot village in Connecticut, burning and massacring some 500 Indian women, men and children.
